A conversation begins by creating space to listen.
What is animal communication?
Animal communication is an intuitive form of communication centered around connecting with an animal beyond spoken language. During a session, I may receive information through words, images, emotions, physical sensations, impressions, or an inner sense of knowing.
The intention is to create space for your animal's perspective to be heard while helping you better understand their physical, emotional, and energetic experience.
How does an animal communication session work?
Before your session, you'll have an opportunity to share the questions you would like me to explore with your animal. At the beginning of every connection, I first ask your animal for permission to communicate.
From there, I move through your questions while also allowing space for your animal to share anything they feel is important. I pay particular attention to the physical body, emotions, relationships, environment, preferences, and any areas where they may be asking for additional support.
Depending on the session you choose, intuitive energy healing may also be included.
Do animal communication sessions have to be in person?
No. Animal communication does not require your animal and me to be physically together.
Whispering Woodlands is based in Charlotte, NC, but virtual animal communication sessions are available worldwide. Your animal can remain comfortably at home during our session.
Can you communicate with an animal from a photo?
Yes. A photograph can be used as a point of connection during an animal communication session. Your animal does not need to be physically present with me in order for a session to take place.
Can you communicate with deceased animals?
Yes. I offer animal communication sessions for both living animals and animals who have passed.
A session with a deceased animal can provide space to explore questions you still carry, reconnect with the relationship you shared, and receive whatever your animal wishes to communicate.
How soon after my animal passes can I book a session?
There is no universal amount of time you need to wait before connecting with an animal who has passed. Some people feel called to communicate soon afterward, while others prefer to give themselves time to grieve before scheduling a session.
You are welcome to book whenever the timing feels supportive for you.
What kinds of animals can you communicate with?
Animal communication is not limited to dogs and cats. Sessions may include horses, farm animals, companion animals, and animals of many different species.
The foundation of the work is the relationship and connection between you and the animal rather than the species of animal.
What can I ask my animal during a session?
You can ask about nearly any area of your animal's life or experience. Questions often involve physical wellbeing, emotions, behavior, household dynamics, preferences, relationships, past experiences, environmental changes, or things you've simply always wondered about.
You can also ask one of the simplest and often most meaningful questions: Is there anything you want me to know?
Can animal communication help me understand my animal's behavior?
Animal communication may offer another perspective on why an animal is experiencing or expressing a particular behavior.
A session may explore fears, preferences, household relationships, environmental changes, emotional experiences, or other factors that could be connected to what you're observing.
Animal communication is complementary and should not replace appropriate veterinary care or qualified behavioral support when either is needed.
Can you tell what my animal is feeling physically?
The physical body is an important part of my animal communication work. During a session, I may receive intuitive impressions, sensations, or other information related to how an animal appears to be experiencing their body.
These impressions can sometimes provide another layer of information for a guardian to explore, but animal communication is not veterinary medicine and I do not diagnose medical conditions.
Concerns about your animal's health should always be discussed with a licensed veterinarian.
Can animal communication replace veterinary care?
No. Animal communication is a complementary practice and is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care.
If your animal is experiencing a new, severe, or concerning physical symptom, veterinary care should always be prioritized.
Do you offer energy healing for animals?
Yes. Intuitive energy healing is incorporated into certain Whispering Woodlands animal communication sessions.
The intention is to gently support your animal's energetic and emotional wellbeing while respecting their individual needs, boundaries, and willingness to receive.
Will my animal answer every question?
Not necessarily. Animals are individuals, and I honor what each animal is willing to share.
Sometimes an answer is incredibly clear. Other times an animal may redirect the conversation, offer a different perspective, or simply not provide information about a particular question.
My role is to communicate what I genuinely receive rather than force or manufacture an answer.
How accurate is animal communication?
Animal communication is an intuitive practice. I communicate the information I receive as clearly and honestly as possible, while recognizing that intuitive information should not be treated as a guaranteed or scientifically validated source of factual information.
Clients should always use their own discernment and appropriate professional resources when making medical, behavioral, financial, or other significant decisions.
Can animal communication help find a lost animal?
An animal communication session may provide intuitive impressions related to a missing animal, but it cannot guarantee an animal's location or safe return.
Any intuitive information should be used alongside practical search efforts such as physically searching the area, contacting shelters and veterinary offices, sharing information through local lost-pet networks, and using identification or tracking resources when available.
What do I need to do before my animal communication session?
Your animal does not need any special preparation. Before your session, you'll provide the requested information along with the questions you would like me to explore.
It can be helpful to spend a little time beforehand thinking about what you most want to understand, but there is no need to prepare your animal or change their normal routine.
Does my animal need to be awake or beside me during the session?
No. Your animal can continue with their normal routine during the session. They do not need to sit still, be awake, or remain beside you for me to connect with them.
Can I book a session for more than one animal?
Yes. Whispering Woodlands offers different session options depending on the number of animals you'd like to connect with and the amount of time needed.
If multiple animals are part of the same household situation or relationship dynamic, a longer session may allow more space to hear each animal's perspective.
Do you only work with animals in Charlotte, NC?
No. Whispering Woodlands is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, but virtual animal communication sessions are available to people and animals worldwide.
Because animal communication does not require me to be physically present with your animal, you can book a session regardless of where you live.
How do I choose an animal communicator?
Choosing an animal communicator is deeply personal. Look for someone whose approach feels aligned with you, who clearly explains their process and boundaries, and who does not promise guaranteed outcomes.
You should feel comfortable with how the practitioner communicates, especially when discussing sensitive subjects such as health, behavior, grief, or end-of-life experiences.
What makes Whispering Woodlands animal communication sessions different?
My approach is centered around listening to the whole animal: their physical, emotional, energetic, and individual experience.
Rather than approaching a session only as a list of questions and answers, I create space for your animal's perspective to unfold naturally. I pay particular attention to the physical body and to anything the animal may be asking their person to understand.
Every connection begins by asking the animal's permission to communicate. Depending on the session, intuitive energy healing and supportive guidance may also be incorporated.
